My Story
Throughout high school, I developed my passion for engineering by joining and eventually leading the STEM Team and WeCode Club. I organized STEM activities, participated in competitions, and conducted group research, which deepened my interest in the field. Last year, I expanded my focus into sustainable engineering by researching the potential of thermodynamic acoustics to create more energy-efficient cooling technologies, which culminated in a research report detailing a potential model of a working system.
Through my EngineerGirl program, Girls Engineering the Future, I aim to combine my engineering background with my experience teaching STEM and engineering courses in robotics, civil engineering, digital arts, and coding to elementary school students. My goal is to foster an inclusive and stimulating environment where young girls can explore STEM confidently, while developing a sense of academic curiosity.
My Project
My project, Girls Engineering the Future, will allow young girls in my community in grades 3 to 6 to think through an engineering mindset, hear from professional women in engineering, and learn about the change they can make through engineering.
