  • What I Do

I work as a Software Engineer at JP Morgan Chase & Co(India). Prior to that I have worked as a software developer at Oracle(India).I use my engineering skills to cater to various requirements by clients and deliver efficient and timely solutions. I am proficient in Java and PL/SQL along with strong foundations in Oracle Database. I have worked on both front-end and back-end systems and use web services and APIs as well.

  • Why Engineering?

I think Engineering for me has always been a way to solve a problem. I do it through code, while some use automation or different softwares or even just a toolbox! I think being an engineer makes me more creative and helps me challenge myself.

  • School Days

I have been born and brought up in India and completed my B.E in Information Technology from University of Mumbai.

  • Proud Moments

As a consultant, I got to travel for work assignments, and it was absolutely thrilling to be able to contribute at a global level.

  • Challenges

I think challenges make us who we are! As Albert Einstein put it, "Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving." I enjoy tackling challenges and improving my skillset.

  • Dreams and Goals

I aspire to become a Product Manager one day and help my team to collaborate effectively to solve problems!

  • Inspiration

My grandmother has been my inspiration always. I look up to her and she showed me how to be a woman of strength and valor.

  • Want to be an Engineer?

Just go for it! I think we need more and more women in engineering professions and becoming an engineer will give you a boost of confidence that there isn't a problem you cannot solve! Women are efficient problem solvers. We don’t usually look for the easy way out of an issue; we embrace them. Engineering is an absolutely fascinating and enriching field and very rewarding. It has nothing to do with gender and more women need to leverage this opportunity to help the world build a better future!

  • Hobbies

Outside of work, I love traveling, writing poetry, reading, sketching, and baking! I have traveled to Indonesia and Japan already and they have been absolutely magical. I bake cakes, brownies, cheesecakes, cookies, pizzas, nankhatais (Indian cookies which are YUMM), etc. I write short poetries and read fiction. I sketch doodles too.
