Close Up
  • What I Do

I am currently a Senior-level Project Manager, Structural Engineer, and Team Manager

  • Why Engineering?

I loved Math and Science and have always been curious about how to things work and how to make them better.

  • School Days

Clinton High School - Clinton, MS
Mississippi Delta Community College - Moorhead, MS
Delta State University - Cleveland, MS
University of Tennessee - Knoxville, TN

  • My Day At Work

Structural design and drafting, engineering calculations, project management, site visits and building assessments

  • Best Part

I love the daily challenges and the excitement of every day and every project is different.

  • Proud Moments

Graduating with a BS in Math and a BS and MS in Engineering, Professional engineering licensure, singing professionally during my 20s, leading worship in my church for the last 10 years, and being a wife and mom.

  • Challenges

Deciding which engineering path to take - buildings, civil/site, operations, project management - and finding a place where I feel like I fit in and can excel in my work.

Time management - finding ways to balance the demands of the job, spending time with family, enjoying my own hobbies, and being a contributor to my community through service and leadership.

  • My Family

I come from a small family and a small town in Mississippi. I am married and have 2 children. I also have 3 dogs - Tiny (Great Pyrenees), Olaf (Husky), and King Floof (Cavachon).

  • Dreams and Goals

I love to dream and goals are what keep me moving forward, but I also value the here and now.  I try to live in the present, soaking up all I can of each day, while striving for larger goals.  Personally, I want to build a farm and become a homesteader. Meanwhile, I want to continue to my career as an engineer, eventually leading a team of engineers and building around the world.

  • Inspiration

My parents, my friends, my husband, and coworkers and bosses.

  • Want to be an Engineer?

You can! Find a mentor who can help you filter through all the noise and obstacles so you can make good decisions. Also, invest some time in self-awareness, understanding who you are and what makes you you.

  • Hobbies

I love to explore whether it's traveling around the world, around my own hometown, or hiking in the nearby mountains. I enjoy music and singing.
