Karen Rawls, Senior Social Investment Advisor for Chevron Corporate Affairs, is currently based in Houston, TX. She is responsible for direct consulting support to field practitioners and leaders in US business units. Rawls develops and executes a suite of "signature" projects that advances the business and social investment objectives in alignment with stakeholder engagement strategies. She also identifies potential implementation partners and provide project management oversight during execution, builds relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to raise awareness and facilitate integration of good social investment strategies across the enterprise, and communicates and promotes consistent application of the organizational vision, mission, and strategies. Her additional responsibilities include budget management, employee engagement, and emergency response activities.
Rawls received her MBA from Morgan State University in 1987 and her BA in political science from the University of Pittsburgh in 1985. She joined Chevron as a marketing representative in 1991 and progressed through assignments of increasing responsibility.
