Close Up
  • What I Do

I lead a team of engineers in identifying product performance issues and implementing continuous improvement projects to improve our products! I specifically work with probiotics and cultures products that have been shown to improve gut and other microbiome area health!

  • Why Engineering?

I loooooooved math & science throughout school and wanted to learn how to apply it in the real world. Engineering was the perfect path to do just that. It's been such a fun ride. I encourage anyone who likes to think creatively about solutions and solve problems to pursue engineering.

  • School Days

B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Washington University in St Louis

  • My Day At Work

Meeting with my team, line walks, data reviews, running and managing improvement projects, tracking results, comparing performance of all our products, building presentations to communicate out to stake holders, and then hosting meetings to discuss with larger groups on path forward!

  • Best Part

It's a very collaborative environment. My favorite part is how many different experts and leaders I get to work with and learn from every day.

  • Proud Moments

Launching a Women's Network chapter at my site to help promote equity for women in the business through career development, community engagement, and networking!

  • Challenges

Engineering school was very challenging. It took a lot of dedicated time and hard work.

  • My Family

I met my spouse, Lane Wenner, in college. We were freshmen sweethearts and inseparable from day 1. We just got married in 2019 and had all of our friends and family come join us from all over the world. Both of our parents live outside of the country so we spend quite a bit of time traveling to see them.

  • Dreams and Goals

Short term - I want to continue managing people and building my business acumen!
Long term - I want to run a business and become more involved in the strategic side of a technology and innovation driven company.

  • Inspiration

Hmm so many inspirational people in my life! My mentors, coaches, family, friends all play a big role.

  • Want to be an Engineer?

Go for it! Engineers can literally do ANYTHING. I know engineers who have gone into traditional engineering roles as well as business strategy roles, technical consultant roles, banking and investment roles, and more. With an engineering degree the world is your oyster.

  • Hobbies

I absolutely love reading and read about 1 book per week! Mainly fiction as I like to be taken away to a completely new world through reading. I also speak Spanish since I lived in Buenos Aires, Argentina for 5 years and love to keep up the practice.

Biography
I am a chemical engineer who works to solve product problems that arise every day! I work specifically with probiotics (live bacteria that have been shown to improve your gut-health) and cultures (that farmers use to make cheese). From California originally, I went to school at Washington University in St. Louis, MO and obtained a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering. I love reading books and speaking Spanish in my free time. I also love been an engineer and I know you will love it too!
