Biography
Shelley is a native Texan and holds a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Baylor University and a M.S. in Systems Engineering from Johns Hopkins University. She also has an identical twin sister who is a Software Engineer! Shelley has experience working in a variety of industries including business computing, aviation, and medical devices. She currently works for LivaNova's Neuromodulation Division, designing system architectures and interfaces for implantable medical devices used to treat drug resistant epilepsy and difficult to treat depression. Shelley is an active volunteer with the Society of Women Engineers in Dallas, TX. She has mentored many high school and college students through job shadowing programs and one-on-one relationships and considers outreach to young women interested in STEM careers to be very rewarding. She also enjoys riding her recumbent bicycle, crocheting, quilting, and spending time with her husband and two dogs.
