School Days I went to school at Vaughn College of Aeronautics and Technology. I have a B.S in Mechanical Engineering.
Proud Moments My last program where I was lead for the entire process from conceptual design to fabrication
Challenges Many challenges were faced being a woman of color in an engineering space. Some challenges were my lack of exposure to engineering subjects from a young age.
My Family I'm a third generation American that values the importance of hard work. My grandparents migrated from Ghana and Panama for better opportunities for their legacy.
Dreams and Goals A short term goal of mine is to receive my M.S Mechanical Engineering by 2022. A long term goal of mine is to be chief engineer within my field.
Inspiration Majority of major influences in my life are mentors that I've encountered along the way. Many women of color in the STEM industry that has taken time to pout into me the wisdom that they have collected over time.
Want to be an Engineer? One major advice I would give any women pursuing STEM is "You are enough!". Whether you're in a classroom of board room it's easy to be discouraged because of the lack of representation. But there are a plethora of women who have paved the way for us to even exist in these spaces.
Hobbies Some of my any hobbies are reading, jogging, hiking, and exploring hidden gems in various cities.
