Biography

Anail Burgos Esquilin is an undergraduate student at the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez (UPRM), pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering. She is dedicated to expanding her knowledge, experience, and implementation skills across various industries through active participation in student organizations, community service, special projects, co-ops, and internship programs. Her primary expertise includes research in optimization and statistical data analysis, with a strong commitment to empowering students to pursue careers in STEM.

At UPRM, Anail serves as an undergraduate research associate in The Applied Optimization Group, where she contributes to research on Lupus prevalence in Puerto Rico. In this role, she oversees initial data collection and conducts statistical analyses to identify key relationships.

Anail's dedication to her field is continued through developing opportunities and her commitment to making a positive impact on the community. She continues to build a strong foundation for her future career as a professional engineer.
