The Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES) is the professional society for biomedical engineering and bioengineering. Its stated purpose is to promote the increase of biomedical engineering knowledge and its utilization.

Student members
BES offers student memberships to full-time students currently enrolled and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in biomedical engineering or related science for a small fee. Expected date of graduation must be provided for your application to be considered.
Opportunities
BES sponsor student competitions and awards for student members and chapters. Honorees must be BES members.
