  • What I Do

I am a postdoctoral researcher affiliated with the New York State Psychiatric Institute and Columbia University. I study the impact of monoamine neurotransmitters such as serotonin and dopamine and their impact on anti-social behaviors such as aggression. We want to understand how the relationship between these neural pathways and these behaviors might connect to different pathologies, or diseases, in which people express these behaviors.

  • School Days

BS in Biomedical Physics from Northeastern University
MS/PhD (currently acquiring) in Biomedical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology

  • Best Part

I love getting to work in the lab- I feel super capable in my lab coat and goggles. The brain is something we don't know a lot about, so discoveries in that field feel really exciting. I like knowing that the work I do can be used to help heal people.

  • Hobbies

I am a long-distance runner and I love to cook to fuel my body- I am a vegetarian and try to eat locally whenever I can! Reading is also a passion.

Volunteer Opportunities
  • I am willing to be contacted by educators for possible speaking engagements in schools or in after school programs or summer camps.
  • I am willing to serve as science fair judge or other temporary volunteer at a local school.
  • I am willing to be interviewed by interested students via email.
