What I Do I am an entrepreneur in engineering. My career has focused on airline and mechanical engineering within the transportation space. Currently, my focus has been on robotic technology for bridge scanning.
Why Engineering? Engineering is the future, it is where innovation and technology can create endless opportunities for young people. My current engineering technology contributes to public safety globally. And if you have a business mind and leadership skills, the world is your oyster.
School Days I went to school at Penn State University with a business logistics degree actually. My engineering experience/passion was formed with my exposure to aircraft engineering software in the airline industry. Since then, I have been involved in start ups in engineering.
My Day At Work Creating custom treatments for food/beverage facilities to optimize their equipment's use of electricity. Now, working with bridge inspections to deliver quality "never before available" in depth data on the health and safety of a bridge.
Best Part I love creating value for my clients, so they can have new found transparency into the quality of their bridges and improve public safety.
Proud Moments My company was highlighted at the annual bridge conference with its success story with one of our clients.
Dreams and Goals I want to find another worthwhile business to start or help build! In 10 years I want to focus on cultivating girls in the enigineering field, of course!
Inspiration My greatest influence was my project manager who is a great engineer as well as a loving mom.
Want to be an Engineer? Engineering is a great business! With purpose and tangible results for clients! I always know I am making a difference in the world. You can also!
Hobbies I love to hike (climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro this past summer), and love traveling . I work out and am trying to meditate regularly (crossing my fingers I stick with it!)
