    My husband and I both work at John Deere.  We started the same day!

    We have one daughter, Hannah, who is a chiropractor in Colorado.

    We have one son, Joshua, who just graduated from high school and is planning to attend the University of Iowa for Engineering and Business.

  • Inspiration

    My parents.  I am the youngest of 15 children and continually refer to the lessons I was taught growing up in such a large group and with such wise parents.

    Be ready for it!  Enroll in all of the math and science courses so you are prepared to continue your education in engineering.  

    Talk to people in the field.  Engineering can be applied in so many exciting ways!

  • Hobbies

    I love to vacation.  We lived in Europe for 18 months and we visited 21 countries!  We also visit National Parks each year and truly enjoy the outstanding beauty they have to offer!  I believe in the value of recharging in order to be at your best.

Nancy is responsible for setting the strategic direction of critical technologies, guiding research and development spending on a global basis, and executing the scope and content of all current and future product programs to meet the business goals of the Hay & Forage Platform within John Deere. Nancy has 30 years of experience in the industry, and 22 years with John Deere. Nancy began her career at Rockwell International developing Satellite Communication systems for the commercial aviation industry. She spent one year at Compressor Controls in Urbandale Iowa as a senior software design engineer for compressor and turbine systems. Nancy joined the John Deere team in the Engine Controls group and has had several positions in the John Deere tractor team of increasing responsibility, focused primarily on systems and software development. She had an expat assignment in Mannheim, Germany. She was appointed to Manager of Tractor Electronic Systems and Software, before assuming the position as Global Quality Manager for Large Tractors. In her position previous to engineering director, she was responsible for developing long range Global Product Plans for the Tractor Platform, which included 1 through 9 series tractors and loaders. Nancy resides in Cedar Falls, Iowa with her husband Paul and son Josh. She has two children: Hannah, a Doctor of Chiropractic, residing in CO and Joshua plans to attend University of Iowa to study engineering and business. In her personal time, Nancy has a passion for travel and photography, enjoys all outdoor activities with family and friends, as well as cooking, reading and volunteering.
