I have always wanted to become an engineer but I am a artist. I recently have been trying to do more vibrant colors but can't. They just hurt my eyes and make me sad. I'm also technically emo, as my parents say. I've always tried making stuff like an engineer and failed. This has been a big question of mine, and I also needed to say it so an engineer would answer it. Another thing that is weird about me is I have a speech impediment. So I think that I can't do engineering because of it. ...

Hi Rowan, like mentioned above, we need a generator. So once the water falls on the wheel, the wheel spins. This wheel is then connected to a generator. which has magnets and coils of wire inside it. When the wheel spins the generator, electricity is ...

    Hi Neeti,

Generally you would need an electric generator. These are usually based on using magnets. You can learn more about how it works here:

I used to love math, science, and problem-solving, but eventually I got frustrated because I couldn’t work as quickly as people expected. (The busywork in math is a particular torture!) I’m intelligent, but I recently learned that I have slow processing speed. I’ve started getting extra time on exams and limited assignments at school, and it really helps me show my understanding.

At this point, I’m not sure if engineering is something I could actually do, or even if I still like it ...

Hello, I am a university student at SMU (Dallas) studying Electrical and Computer Engineering. I am interested in AI/ML but also Biomedical applications. Should I specialize in Computer or Biomedical?

One degree would say "Electrical and Computer Engineering with a Biomedical Engineering specialization" and the other one would say Electrical and Computer Engineering with a Computer Engineering specialization". There are also two plans for the ECE Biomed, one that involves pre-med ...

This is my first time using this forum sorry if I did anything wrong!! I've been taking engineering in school for the past 3 years. I've been at the top of my classes for all 3 years. I'm in a new school now, and naturally I chose to be in engineering again. My teacher says I'm not good enough to be in his class. He told me it would be better if I rethink my future and quit engineering as a whole. I don't really know why he would say this, because I have a pretty high grade in his class, ...
