Is there a possibility that I can have a good job with having a low gpa in college?

I am a civil engineering student, and I failed one of my subjects, it's a major subject, and I feel very frustrated about it even though I am not a bright student, it's just that, it was the course that my parents want me to take, so after that failure, I think of my future. Is there a possibility that I can have a good job, with me, having a low gpa in college? Thank you!

Some companies have rules regarding having a low GPA, but you can demonstrate that you have obtained better grades in your particular major subjects related to the job you are applying. You can list your major grades from pertinent subjects in your curriculum vitae or cover letter, or during an interview.

As you advance in your carrier, GPA matters less, and employers would be more interested in your experience in the job than your GPA. You can gain experience through internship/training, letters of recommendation showing your intellect and work ethic. With low GPA, it is advisable you find jobs through networking, than online submission of curriculum vitae. Do not state your GPA on your curriculum vitae since it is normally not required.

With regards to the subject you failed, I will advise you to never give up, study your failures and rewrite the subject you failed. For example, I failed a course during my bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. But I never gave up, and was able to graduate with second class upper honors.
You can consult a career counselor for more advice.
