Hello, I am a sophomore college student in need of advice. I originally decided to be a civil engineering major in my first year of school because I thought the jobs were interesting. However, my professor recommended that I look into industrial engineering because it suits my personality and my skill set better. I have been comparing civil jobs vs. industrial jobs. What I have gathered is that there is (currently) a better job outlook and slightly higher pay for civil engineers. In ...

I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design in Spring 2014 but now am deeply regretting it. As much as I love art, it lacks the calculation and logic I desire from subjects like math and science. I've had an unfulfilling career in the fashion industry and really want to pursue industrial engineering, hopefully in the product development field. Would I need to get another Bachelor's Degree in engineering? Or would I be able to get into a Master's program with my art degree? Thank ...

Hi, I'm 16 and have thought about engineering as a possible career choice. It seemed like a suitable career, maths and the sciences are my favourite subjects and being involved in the process of developing ideas that mould the future is the description for my ideal job. However, once researching how others got into the field I feel as though I'm out of my breadth- many talk about making things and using structural toys when they were younger and other many achievements that I haven't done or ...

Hello, I am a high school senior and I am trying to decide whether to take a path into engineering or biological sciences. The last few years I have always dreamed of pursuing a degree in Biology, however I have never informed myself about engineering. A month ago a friend of mine suggested that I should look into it, and I did. After some research I found out that engineering really interests me - especially Biomedical Engineering. However my concern is that I don't have the knowledge to ...

I'm really interested in engineering studies but I find it hard to catch up with everything specially that in class we have some lousy teachers.
