I choose engineering because I liked math and science in middle and high school.

I received my B.S in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina A&T State University.
I received my Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Virginia Tech.

To be an engineer you do not necessarily need to get straight A's but you need to have the endurance and motivation to continue to learn even when the subject matter becomes more difficult.
