Close Up
  • What I Do

I currently work as an Associate Engineer for Pennoni Associates in Philadelphia, PA. I work in the Transportation Division and specialize in Bridge Design, Reconstruction, and Rehabilitation.

  • School Days

I graduated in June 2017 with a Bachelor and Master of Science in Civil Engineering in an accelerated degree program from Drexel University. My concentration was Strucutral Engineering. At Drexel, I was highly involved with Drexel Society of Women Engineers (SWE) and Drexel American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).

  • My Family

My father is a union carpenter and my mother is a first-grade teacher. I have a younger brother who three years younger than me and he is in the business field.

  • Inspiration

My inspiration is Emily Roebling who oversaw the construction for the Brooklyn Bridge. Read more about her amazing story here: https://www.engineergirl.org/125425/Emily-Roebling

  • Want to be an Engineer?

If you want to become an engineer, the best advice I can give is don’t be afraid to ask! As a young engineer, you aren’t expected to know everything so make sure you speak up when you are given a task and you’re not sure how to proceed! Your team is there to help you learn!

Volunteer Opportunities
  • I am willing to be contacted by educators for possible speaking engagements in schools or in after school programs or summer camps.
  • I am willing to serve as science fair judge or other temporary volunteer at a local school.
  • I am willing to host a field trip to my place of employment.
  • I am willing to be contacted about potential job shadowing by interested students.
  • I am willing to be interviewed by interested students via email.
