Great question!!! From an early age, I always enjoyed mathematics and science, so I always knew I would end up in a STEM field. As I grew older, I realized I enjoyed problem-solving and sought out problems that were challenging to determine whether I can find a solution. By the time I was ready for tertiary education, I knew Engineering was the field for me. At the start of my degree I was registered in a Mechanical Engineering degree, but while on campus during initiation, I had a chat with a Civil Engineer and after that I believed that the Civil Engineering field was more diverse and better-suited to the kinds of challenging problems I liked. I have never regretted that decision.
