Parth Patel AddedSaturday, July 15, 2017 at 10:56 AM I am currently a 2nd-year student and I have no outside experience to put on my resume. What would be some good part time jobs I could work for experience, that's some what flexible with my schedule. I have tried to look at my options but not a single one mention jobs as a part time for computer Engineers. there are numerous for computer science, but I would love to work with actual physical components rather than desk work. I understand that there is coding involved in a lot of computer engineering which I don't mind. I have no real resume so if you could point me in a direction to which I could start that would be great. Anything from part time jobs to skills I could develop as well as what I should look into as i progress. I did an internship with Motorola the summer between my Junior and Senior years in college and it was a great experience. During the school year I actually chose a part time job not related to my degree - I worked at Smoothie King! Most employers want to see some kind of job experience (even if it's not related to your degree) because it proves you can manage your time wisely and prioritize your studies and your extracurricular activities. If you don't need the money, you could get involved with a local outreach or volunteer organization (SWE is a great one!) and do STEM-related work that would further their causes. Good luck!
