Do I have what it takes to be an engineer?

I am currently a high school senior and have been accepted UCI under biomedical engineering. It is something I am interested in but I worry I will not be capable of "building" and "creating." I've never built or created anything and I'm not sure I will be good at it. Any advice?

I don't think you need to be worried before you try it out. Honestly, I have never built or created anything when I was in high school, either. All I knew was that I liked math and biology more than social science and language. They taught us many fundamental principles in college and started building things in the later years in college to prepare for the real world. Just like anything else, my suggestion is to give it a try. After that, you will have a better sense and decide if you want to continue or not. Usually, when a prestigious college like UCI accept you to their program, they already believe in you. Congratulations!
