Biography
Aurelia is long-time resident of Detroit and an engineer currently working in Michigan, with specialties in industrial engineering, process engineering, process improvement, engineering design, plastics, and polymers as well as some laboratory work experience and maintenance management. She is also a Ph.D. student at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and Wayne State University. She is currently working as a manufacturing specialist at Stellantis after having worked as a Subject Matter Expert role for Global Manufacturing Engineering at General Motors and several process and industrial engineering roles at Honda Manufacturing. She has been designated a Fellow of the Women's Engineering Society as well as selected for membership in IOM3 (Institute of Materials, Minerals, and Mining) and the Institution of Engineering Designers (IED). _____________________________________________________________________________________ In addition to her corporate ambitions, she is also a freelance pianist and chamber music composer. During her time at Jacksonville State University, where she studied piano for several years as well as percussion and composition, she received several academic scholarships and music scholarships. During my formative years, she participated in violin studies. She is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Jacksonville State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree with Special Honors in Music, a Master of Arts degree in Music, and a Master of Science degree in Manufacturing Systems with the Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology as well as a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from Wayne State University in progress. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Upon early graduation, she was the valedictorian of Northern Senior High School in Detroit, Michigan and has studied molecular biology as well as music at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. She was an active member of the Birmingham Art Music Alliance from 2010 until 2015. She enjoys studying and performing piano music from the Romantic Era and cites her compositional style as Neo-Romantic. She is extremely interested in the relationship between neuroscience and musical aptitude. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As a synesthete and a person who experiences cross-modal perception, she dedicates her free time to exploring topics of this nature as well as polymer science. In addition, music theory and Late-Romantic theoretical analysis are also among her avid interests. She is member of Phi Kappa Phi, Pi Kappa Lambda, Omicron Delta Kappa, the Society for Hispanic Professional Engineers, and the Golden Key International Honor Society. She was selected as one of Plant and Control Engineering Magazines ‘40 Engineering Leaders Under 40’ and Oakland County’s ‘Elite 40 Under 40’. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Special Talents: Aurelia is a polymath who began reading at the age of two, began to write at the age of three, started to play the harmonica at the age of four, and began to play the piano at the age of six. Her additional special talents include some calendar calculation, special memory skills, and recognition of pitch and pitch frequencies, music transcription, and a knack for learning foreign languages. She was admitted to seven doctoral degree programs and ultimately decided to attend the programs at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and Wayne State University due to her corporate ambitions. She is a member of the International High IQ Society. In order to assist others in the development of their special talents, she is currently developing “The Amygdala High IQ Society”, which is one of the first high IQ societies exclusively for women.
