Why Engineering? It’s great seeing a device that actually has your parts in it, whether it’s a cell phone or an MP3 player. It’s so cool to see the product in a store, and know that the parts you designed made it work.
Best Part I love the creativity involved in working in such a cutting-edge field. Everybody wants something new so a lot of times you feel like you’re almost reinventing these devices. You’re tasked with something that no one’s done before.
Proud Moments One of the most satisfying things is to have your design come out, have the customers just love it, and watch the sales go through the roof!
Inspiration My dad was an engineer and got me a computer program when I was little. It was fun. And I had no idea that this was actually related to engineering.
Want to be an Engineer? Engineering takes a lot more communications and personal skills than math and science sometimes. Being able to work well with people is incredibly valuable.
