In 2000–2001 a special Girls Advisory Board, with 15 members from 12 states and Canada, shared their ideas through online chats and a discussion board about what the EngineerGirl website should look like and what features it should include.
This redesigned colorful new website is the result of input from a greatly expanded advisory board of 135 girls in 28 states! They reviewed artwork and suggested new features to make the website useful for a 2012 audience.
The National Academy of Engineering thanks all the members of the Girls Advisory Board for their help and feedback. We also thank the many schools and teachers who supported the board in 2000 and 2012. These teachers worked with their students to ensure they had access to the online conferences and coordinated meeting times to fit into the school day.
