Going back to engineering school after getting a BA

Hi, I just graduated with a B.A. from Colgate University. I now realize that I want to go into engineering but finding information is providing to be difficult. I'm mostly finding information on current engineering students who want to go back to school to get their masters. The only class I have taken at Colgate that is engineering related is Calculus. How would I proceed? I assume that a post-bac is necessary but I am completely lost as to resources and information. I have been emailing universities but I have yet to receive responses. Thank you.

    Hi Michelle,

Going back after you already have a degree can be particularly challenging.  This page on getting a second bachelor's degree could give you some important pointers.  In many ways it is much easier to make up the necessary courses and then get a master's degree.  The first thing to do is decide what type of engineering degree you want and what you will do with it.  Then look at engineering schools that offer that degree and review the required coursework.  You may be able to take a number of the basic courses online or at a community college and that would help convince a master's program that you would be a good candidate.  Good luck!
