Close Up
  • What I Do

I research new ways to make things through 3D printing or robotics!

  • Why Engineering?

STEM feels like a super power... when you can learn enough to make something like a robot or material do your bidding, it feels amazing!

  • School Days

Tennessee Tech University - BS in Mechanical Engineering
Virginia Tech University - PhD in Mechanical Engineering

  • My Day At Work
    • Thinking "Big" - what's technology is needed?
    • Reaching out - what are my colleagues up to? Can we help each other?
    • Failing Up - doing experiments, learning, and trying again!
    • Taking care of business - checking as many "bureaucracy" boxes as fast as humanly possible so I can get back to the fun stuff!
  • Best Part

I love that I can work on big problems.

  • Proud Moments

I was very proud of achieving "Distinguished Innovator" status after getting 14 patents awarded.

  • My Family

I have two little boys - 4 and 6 years old.

  • Dreams and Goals

I would like to help develop educational content for kids (and their parents) that helps them picture themselves in STEM and Trade jobs.

  • Inspiration

Dean Kamen - he helps and inspires so many people!

  • Want to be an Engineer?

Technical careers are tough but so worth it!

  • Hobbies

    I 3D print a lot :)
