The International RoboSub Competition has the top 40 teams from all over the world compete, and rising to the top was DesertWAVE: the all-women robotics team from Arizona State University. This is the first US team to win since 2017, and the team was made up of mostly Hispanic women, several of whom are first-generation college students. Their robot excelled at missile firing, underwater mobility, and surfacing at precise locations.
