Close Up
  • What I Do

I design medical devices for oral drug delivery. I love it because I get to think creatively about solving problems that affect real people around the world.

  • Why Engineering?

I chose engineering because it shapes how you approach the world. I love using creativity and hands on learning to solve problems at work and also in my daily life. My focus is problem solving in materials and medicine, but my materials engineering background applies to so many more fields.

  • School Days

I have a BS in Materials Science and Engineering from MIT. I'm going back to MIT for grad school in Mechanical Engineering.

  • My Day At Work

I spend a lot of time in lab at the bench tinkering with devices. Whenever I have a new idea, I try it out by running experiments and making prototypes. I also spend a lot of time on my computer analyzing results, making pretty figures, and writing about my work. In between experiments, my co-workers and I brainstorm new projects, chat about life outside of work, and plan fun activities for the lab group to do.

  • Hobbies

Outside of work, I enjoy playing music, reading, and hanging out with friends. I'm in a vocal jazz group and a drumming group that meet during the week.

Volunteer Opportunities
  • I am willing to be interviewed by interested students via email.
