What I Do I am a Sr Engineering Manager leading a team of Software Engineers developing Distributed Control Systems serving industries like Pharmaceuticals, Refining, Oil & Gas, Chemicals and Specialty Chemicals.
Why Engineering? I enjoy figuring out how things work and continuously learning. Technology is constantly evolving so there is always something new to explore and expand your skillsets.
My Day At Work A lot of collaborative meetings with the team to understand the requirements and develop a solution. We also meet with end users to do VOC - Voice of the Customer, to understand what challenges our customers are facing so we can brainstorm innovative solutions to meet their needs in a new way.
Best Part Developing solutions that help our customers to develop their own products more efficiently and make their lives easier. When you present a new solution to a customer and they love it so much they ask "When can we get it? We want it now!" that is so rewarding.
Proud Moments I am most proud of my Honeywell team rolling out a brand new Batch Visualizations that transformed the way customers operate their batches. It was based on a huge amount of customer VOC to understand the biggest challenges
My Family I am married and my husband and I share 3 children, Nate (10), Harrison (5) and Emmeline "Millie" (3). We are also now the proud and exhausted owners of 2 golden retriever puppies!
Inspiration My parents had a huge influence on me and encouraged me to pursue a career that not only leverages my strengths but makes me happy. My mentor who was a Senior Architect was also a huge influence and advocate for me and she was a great female leader and innovator.
Hobbies I enjoy being active, playing field hockey, going to the beach, home improvements and spending time with my family.
