Close Up
  • What I Do

I am currently a new product development delivery manager for The Chemours company where I manage and drive the commercialization of new products. I guide cross-functional teams to collaborate and make decisions, ensuring agile execution and delivering new high quality commercial products to our customers.

  • Why Engineering?

In high school, I wanted to be a cardiothoracic surgeon. After completing a rigorous high school program dedicated to health professions, I decided healthcare was not for me. I found myself intrigued about the process flow, and math and chemistry were my favorite subject. Combining them together, I found myself in chemical engineering and love it through research projects, internships, and co-op opportunities.

  • School Days

I attended the University of Houston and have a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering. I also graduated with 2 minors- one in Business Administration, and another in Chemistry.

  • Best Part

Engineering is versatile - there's so many different types of engineering, industries, and opportunities.

  • Hobbies

Outside of work, I love to travel. I've been to more than 20 countries, lived and worked abroad in France, and visited half of the states/territories in the USA. One of my goals is to visit all of the US National Parks.

Biography
I graduated from the University of Houston in 2015 with a degree in Chemical Engineering. I started my career in a two-year rotational program where I moved around and held four jobs in that time duration gaining experiences in project engineering, program management, plant engineering, and analysis (one non-engineering role I held). After the two year program, I stayed with the company for about 6 years holding two different roles (zone engineer and plant manager) before switching over to Chemours in my current role.
