Close Up
  • What I Do

I create strategies and designs for the company enterprise - including network, servers, storage, security, etc.  Strategies often include upgrading components that are old and unsupportable, designing for the future (i.e. Cloud integration), and providing ways for the corporate business to grow.

  • Why Engineering?

I enjoyed math and science classes in school, and was very intrigued about how computers work.  I don't work too much with the hardware, but I loved working with the operating system and software.

  • School Days

I have a bachelor's degree and master's degree in Computer Science.  My bachelor's degree is from Oakland University (Rochester, MI) and my master's degree is from Carnegie Mellon University (Pittsburgh, PA).

  • Best Part

I get to work on some challenging problems, which I enjoy.  And there are always different ways to design a solution, so it's very creative.  Also, I work on something different every day, so that keeps me interested.

  • Hobbies

I love being creative - so I enjoy scrapbooking and knitting in my free time.  I also read a lot of fiction novels.  But when the weather is nice, golfing is a good way to spend a sunny afternoon.

Volunteer Opportunities
  • I am willing to be contacted by educators for possible speaking engagements in schools or in after school programs or summer camps.
  • I am willing to serve as a sponsor or coach for an engineering club or team.
  • I am willing to serve as science fair judge or other temporary volunteer at a local school.
  • I am willing to be interviewed by interested students via email.
