This is about understanding the business need and building a solution to solve the need. Information Engineering is very similar and focuses on architecting and solving problems that are hard for humans to process. Computer Science is a broader area that includes software engineering, Information Engineering, and more. Computer Science helps understand, design, and develop computer systems. It has more flexibility to build depth in data science, trading algorithms, etc. If you are unsure of what you would like to do Computer Science would be the way to go.
