This can mean a variety of things. I would strongly suggest getting involved with a student group that does projects/work that you're passionate about. This is a great resume builder, and can also help you start to apply engineering in a more "real" sense than your classes. I would also suggest to start doing some informational interviews or talk to people about the engineering jobs that they have. It's a good idea to start figuring out what field you might want to go into or what type of work you'd like to do. Just remember to keep an open mind as your preferences might change as you move forward in your college career. Let me know if you have any other questions!
