Hello and thank you for your question. You may not need to switch, it really depends on the College or University you are attending.

This is how you can decide. Find the curriculum guides for your school. I suggest looking into the Computer Science and Computer Engineering programs. Check both the undergraduate and graduate course offerings. Very likely you will find the course work for Artificial Intelligence in a graduate program (Masters or PhD).

Once you find the program, you can identify which undergraduate degree is the best pre-requisite. It is very possible your school may accept candidates from a variety of undergraduate programs, such as EE, CS, CE and perhaps even Math. It is also possible that your school offers some undergraduate courses as well.

It would also be wise to do some research to find out if your school is known for Artificial Intelligence. If not, you might decide to finish your undergraduate degree at your current school, but then switch to a school that excels in Artificial Intelligence somewhere else for your graduate degree.

I also recommend finding a guidance counselor at your school for advice as well.

    Hope this helps!
