Cherokee Senevisai AddedThursday, January 26, 2017 at 9:48 AM Exactly how much math do you have to take in order to become an Environmental Engineer? I am a Sophmore in high school trying to find a passion and I've always been gravitated towards our environment. I am not the biggest fan of Math and next year ill be taking PreCalc even though I struggle with math. Would this be the job for me? Math is certainly a foundation of an engineering degree- you have to make it through Calculus 4. So, that would be taking a Calculus class through the end of your sophomore year in college. If that deters you from engineering- there are certainly other environmental-focused degrees in policy or writing, for example. I would encourage you to look into some of those. However, take it from someone who didn't like pre-Calc until I got a tutor, once you figure it out, it is really FUN! Good luck, Kristin
