Do I have to take Physics in high school?

Hi, I'm 16 and really want to become a biomedical engineer. I'm studying maths, biology, chemistry and geography for A levels (I'm from the UK). Does it matter that I'm not doing physics? I did physics until I was 15 but only at a lower standard (GCSEs) than to the standard I am studying at for biology, chemistry, maths and geography. Will I still be able to become a good biomedical engineer? (I am a high achiever and work very hard). Thanks :)

    Hi Lydia,

I'm not sure about the UK system, but in the US it wouldn't matter much.  I didn't take physics or calculus until I went to college, and I managed just fine.  Taking it in high school means it will be a little easier for you when you eventually take it in college, but I wouldn't stress about it given that you have lots of other great background courses.  If you struggle with it in college don't be afraid to ask for help.  I'm sure there will be other people there in the same situation.
