How can I improve my math grade?

So I am in a seventh grade math and I have a C-. What can I do to improve my grade?

- Lots and lots of practice books. In addition from school's homework, you want to read and do practice exercise from library books. 
- Avoid using calculator, this way you will be able to practice solving problems on your own. The more you practice without a calculator, the quicker you can solve problem.
- Study in groups. Some people learn better when teaching a concept to others. When you learn a new math concept, explain (as you are a teacher) to others about it. By teaching each other, your friend may give you new insight on how they handle difficult math problems
