Abbey AddedWednesday, November 28, 2018 at 9:05 AM I know how to do mathematical problems, but I never remember the names of them. Is that okay for being an engineer? Math so far has become easy to me it’s easy to learn and easy to master. I know how to do the problems but I can never remember the names. I want to become an electrical/robotic engineer. Is it crucial to know the names of the problems? What is important to be a successful engineer of any type is your ability to understand problems and to solve them. And keep an open mind - as time goes on you will have opportunities to be exposed to more and more different types of engineering disciplines and you may find one that truly becomes your passion! I started my education as a mathematics student, then discovered electrical engineering and got a Master's degree in that field and then moved on to Computer Science and got a PhD, and now do research in Software Engineering. The more you learn, the more exciting you will find the field! Elaine
