Biography
Sai holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from JNTU Kakinada, India. She graduated from Missouri University of Science and Technology (University of Missouri-Rolla) with a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering in May 2006. Sai is currently working as Senior Structural Engineer at Versabar Inc. She has gained over 12+ years of work experience in Offshore Structural Design and Analysis (Oil & Gas Industry); designed Skid Packages and topsides equipment for heavy equipment installations using Chain Jack Systems. She performed lift analysis on various projects for Versabar’s Bottom Feeder and VB10K Systems. She designed Hydraulic Winch & Sheave interface packages for Riser, Umbilical, Water Injection Riser, Flex Joint Replacement Pull-ins; Designed Chemical Injection Skid Packages and developed material handling solutions for equipment handling on offshore structures using Air Caster Systems. She also enjoys traveling offshore for site visits as part of her job. Sai is an active member and supporter of ASIE (American Society of Indian Engineers and Architects) since 2012. She served on the Board as IT Chair in 2014, as Secretary in 2015, as Treasurer in 2016 and as President in 2018. She has also served as Advisory Council Member and Scholarship Committee Chair in 2019. She has volunteered for MathCounts, served as Special Award Judge for SEFH in 2015, and 2018. She was awarded the "Young Engineer of the Year - 2016" award by ASIE. She represented the organization in 2016 Houston E-Week "Young Engineer of the Year" recognition ceremony. Sai has been an active member of the Blue Frog Toastmasters Club since 2018. She served as Vice President of Education (VPE) in 2019 and is currently serving as President. Sai likes visiting new places, pursuing new hobbies, yoga, gardening, cooking and crafts. She enjoys volunteering for non-profit organizations and networking with fellow professionals.
