Previous Next Dream Big: Engineering Our World PostedFriday, February 3, 2017 at 4:12 AM Kate Gramling On February 17, 2017, Dream Big: Engineering Our World premieres in IMAX theaters around the country. This giant-screen feature film offers a unique look at how engineers are making the future by using their creativity and skill to improve lives and reshape the world. Be prepared for a story that circles the globe and travels through time: from a small, isolated village in Haiti to Shanghai, the world's most populous city; from the ancient Great Wall of China to a modern skyscraper so tall it needed a special engineering twist; and from under water in California to the desert of Australia where two different high school engineering clubs excelled in challenging competitions. Dream Big will also introduce you to 3 remarkable young women who demonstrate how engineering makes a difference. You can find out more – including where you can see the film – on the Dream Big: Engineering Our World website. Special note to parents and educators: The Dream Big film release is part of a much larger outreach effort in connection with National Engineers Week. You can find educational materials including detailed plans for activities – some of which are featured in the film – on the education page of the Dream Big website.
