It sounds like you have a master's in chemical engineering, so you are different from someone with only a neuroscience background. Chemical engineering is a very diverse field and a solid grounding in a basic science area is always important. Most chemical engineering companies usually have their own training programs for new engineers. So if you find a job that interests you, you will quickly learn anything additional you need.
