Theresa F Cauthen

Theresa has a Bachelor of Science in Ocean Engineering with a minor in Math from Florida Atlantic University. She has been working as a Project Manager in the waterfront engineering and marine construction industry since 2003. Her main focuses are on the structural analysis and the design of waterfront facilities such as marinas, ports, parks, and other docking facilities. Her experience includes floating and fixed docks; seawalls and bulkheads; shoreline revetments; launching facilities; park and recreational facilities; mooring fields; coastal armoring projects; lake bank stabilization projects; tidal and wetland creation; and dredging. Her current responsibilities include supporting and providing direction and leadership to the team of engineers and support staff; managing the performance and workloads of the team of engineers; tracking project budgets and schedules; maintaining quality results and client satisfaction; reviewing calculations. specifications, and technical details; and overseeing the collecting, reducing, and analyzing of bathymetric and hydrographic survey data. Theresa is active with the local chapter of the Florida Engineering Society having served on the Board of Directors for 4 years and completing her term as President of the chapter in June 2015. She was also awarded the Young Engineer of the Year award in 2012 from her local FES chapter. She is also active with the MATHCOUNTS competition and likes to volunteer with the STEM programs in local schools.
