Engineers!
I have been in the professional field of Engineering for 5 years and have had many experiences in different companies. I graduated from Michigan State University and during my time there I completed a co-op and an internship. My first co-op was with Lexmark International in Lexington, KY. I worked on laser printers and first learned about testing and validation. My next internship was with General Dynamics in Warren, MI. I worked on military tanks and did retrofitting in a prototype garage. After college I landed my first position for Norfolk Southern Railroad in Roanoke, VA. I was a Mechanical Supervisor in a Locomotive Shop where I had to manage men who were my dad's age and had been working there longer than I had been alive. It was quite the challenge, and I learned more about myself in that time and what I really wanted to do. That is what brought me back to Michigan. I work at FCA formally known as Chrysler, and my first job here was as an Advance Sizing Engineer for Cooling systems. After about 3 years I moved to the position I'm in now as Design Release Engineer for Fuel Systems. I'm young, and I think I have done a lot so far. I look forward to the challenges and adventures I will encounter in the Engineering field as a woman!
