    Hi Jennifer,
If less and less girls get into engineering, more and more girls would miss out on a wonderful career! I love being an engineer and making a difference in my job so I feel sad that some people rule themselves out from engineering because of ...

I am presently doing bachelors in civil engineering, but I am highly confused about what to take up in masters. Actually I don't want to be in engineering field. So can anyone suggest which branches or jobs engineers can go for if they don't like technology or they want to get rid of it...

    Hi Indrani,

Engineers can work in many many fields in addition to doing engineering. An engineering degree teaches people how to be logical, systematic, creative, work in a team, how to consider risk and a whole host of other characteristics that are ...

My name is Taylor. I am in the 5th grade and thinking about becoming an engineer. A lot of men say that engineering is a guy thing and I strongly disagree. Do you have any advice? What college did you go to? I want to go to Texas A&M. How old where you when you decided to become an engineer?

    Hi Taylor,

My first advice would be - absolutely disagree with men who say engineering is only for guys! There are a lot of wonderful female engineers out there, you just have to look at this site to see lots of them. There are a higher number of men ...

Hi, I am currently a 23 year old Design and Technology teacher within a secondary/high school in England. I studied Educational Studies throughout my college and university life so have no qualifications as such in engineering. I have an undergraduate degree in education and a teaching postgraduate degree. Carpentry and CAD/CAM have always been a hobby of mine over the past 5-6 years. I teach the basic principles of an engineer within lessons so I have basically taught myself the knowledge ...

The main thing is to make sure you choose the right subjects in school – Maths and Physics as a minimum. Also, work hard to get good grades. If you think you might be interested in an engineering field related to Chemistry/Biology bear that in mind ...

Choosing your career path is very difficult for most people and you have to make the decision with limited information so it is not unusual to not be completely sure. If you have done some research and from what you found, your experiences and subjects ...

I was just wondering about being an engineer, particularly a female engineer and having tattoos. I have a half sleeve on my forearm and I've tried to look up any articles on the subject but I don't find anything very helpful. From my understanding on things it mostly depends on the employer, but i would love some feedback from a real engineer.
