Hello, I'm 48, I've been a SAHM mom for 16 years, and I never completed college. I am currently enrolled in community college for an associates in mechanical engineering with plans to earn my BS at the university level. I will be in my mid 50s (my brain withstanding), and I am wondering if doing all of this will, given my age, keep me in the running for employment (space industry is my goal)? I haven't been able to find the support for my unique non-traditional student status, so I'm hoping ...

Hello! I hope this is not weird but I'm 12 and I am going to turn 13 next month and I really want to become a engineer because most of my family members are engineers and it sounds so cool. I love math..not really science, but when it comes to the structure like nature and structure, I really enjoy them. I am a high 80% on math and 72% on science, would that be okay for me right now for my age if I want to become engineer in the future? How many Years would it take to fully become a engineer? I ...

It sounds like you are on the right track to becoming an engineer. Stick with the math and science for sure. Also you can look for extra curricular activities that might increase your knowledge of math and/or science. Robotics clubs, science/math ...

Hello Engineers, Throughout my high school years, I have had to deal with several health issues and financial constraints that unfortunately set me back as a result. Before that, I was always a straight A student with a love for mathematics and a deep interest the sciences. However, as a result of my difficulties, I did not complete all of high school (I missed much of 10th, 11th, and 12th grade). With an exponential amount of perseverance, I am now getting back on track and will be taking a ...

I'm currently in grade 12 and preparing for entrance exams for engineering courses. I have a real passion for space and related topics but I don't think physics is my strongest point. Should I drop the idea of aerospace engineering? or should I just believe in my love for space and just stick with it?

Short answer: I think you should stick with it.

Hello! My name is Daisy Quiroga and I just graduated from a STEM High School in Washington State! I am not very good at math..at all, but I have all the other qualities that engineers have. I enjoy physics, I am a self driven student, I enjoy solving problems, doing research, etc. I will be attending college this fall and want to major in mechanical engineering. I'm actually a girl, but others are saying that aeronautical engineering is only suitable for boys. Do you think I can make it? Do you think I can be an aeronautic engineer, even if I'm a girl? most of them are laughing at me because they are saying that i can't do it, because it's really hard for women. Hello, I'm currently a junior in high school. This year, I'm taking AP Physics C: Mechanics and AP Calculus AB at a math and science academic-year governor's school. I've always excelled at math and science, but these particular classes have been challenging for me this year. I've found that I am not able to understand the concepts as quickly as I was able to in lower-level classes, and I am no longer at the top of my class (I'd say, compared to my classmates at gov school, I'm just "average"). ...

Am I in the right major?"
