They say one has to be a US citizen to get a job in the Aero industry, So one can opt for Mech-related jobs instead and after availing green card, can one apply to Aero-industries?

I am Dhanraj, going to pursue my MS in Mech and Aero and currently got admitted from UCSD and Georgia Tech, I wanted to know whether a non-US citizen can opt for Aero industries after graduating. I am more inclined to research-based projects and have already done specific projects as an intern in India at ...

    Hi!
Those fields are quite different from whats normally taught in an aerospace engineering program. However, you could work in the aerospace industry with a background in most of those fields including, electronics, industrial systems or manufacturing.

I adore science and research, and I aspire to be a top engineer in astrophysics/aerospace. I am quite worried about the college process though, and I would love to get advice from such a successful engineer! I hope to go to a great university that fits my needs, such as MIT or Brown, to study astrophysics. But if I am not accepted, or cannot afford the tuition, would going to a less well known/non-ivy league college hurt my chances of becoming an engineer? Are students from those colleges more ...

Hi! I'm a 12 grade senior in high school and living on Florida's space coast all my life has me in love with NASA. I love the whole idea about space or anything that flies. It's just unreal that people are building and designing machines that fly through the air! Anyways, I'm wanting to be an Aerospace Engineer, but all the people I talk to say that I'm not smart enough or that since I'm a girl I can't do it. I'm not that great in science but I love my science classes and my math classes. I ...

I'm studying to be a mechanical engineer, but my dad keeps telling me that I'm not strong enough (I'm pretty short and small) and that I won't succeed. I tell him that mechanical engineers aren't the same as mechanics, and we have all sorts of machines to help us do things now, but he seems to think I don't know what I'm talking about. Is he right?
