Close Up
  • What I Do

I lead a design and manufacturing team of 200+ staff that deliver solutions for space and national security.

  • Why Engineering?

I chose my career because it is all about innovation.  I have been a part of the innovation ecosystem my entire career. It allows me to solve problems and connect people for big impact.

  • School Days

After high school in South Carolina, I attended an HBCU, Tuskegee University. Over the next three decades I earned a masters and a PhD as well at Capitol Tech University in Maryland.

  • My Day At Work

I am involved in reviewing technical analysis and products involving electrical and mechanical solutions.

  • Best Part

The best part of my job today is helping a staff evolve their ideas.

  • Proud Moments

Delivering products that help our country be successful.

  • Challenges

I am a minority female and have had people assume I am not leading an effort but there as a secretary, I have had others underestimate my skills.

  • My Family

I have a husband, who is an engineer, and three kids.

  • Dreams and Goals

Continue to lead my team in delivering greatness for our nation. Retire and help students become machinist, welders, electrical technicians, engineers and scientists.

  • Inspiration

My mom is the greatest influence. She pushed and rooted for me all my life.

  • Want to be an Engineer?

Go for it! You can travel, engage with different technologies and go very far!

  • Hobbies

I love to read, swim, hike, travel, and listen to music.
