  • What I Do

    I am a professor.  I supervise PhD students in research and teach.  I am also active in many professional organizations.

    I really liked math and physics.

    I have a PhD from Caltech and an MS from UC Berkeley.  My undergraduate degree is in Mechanical Engineering and Society from McMaster University.

Biography
I am an Associate Professor in Mechanical Engineering and the Carol Croft Linde Faculty Scholar at the Johns Hopkins University. I earned my B. Eng. and Society from McMaster University in 1997 and an M.S. from the University of California at Berkeley in 1998, both in Mechanical Engineering. I received her Ph.D. in Control and Dynamical Systems in 2010 from the California Institute of Technology. My research interests are in modeling, analysis and control of spatially distributed and large-scale networked systems, such as, wind farms, power and transportation systems. Prior to my PhD I was a research Engineer at Honeywell Laboratories.
