  • What I Do

I research water infrastructure. I study water infrastructure through a sociotechnical systems lens to improve the delivery of safe and reliable water services. I am interested in the technical performance of water infrastructure when these systems operate in contexts that no longer align with the system’s original, intended operating environment.

I teach the next generation of engineers. I get the opportunity to be in the classroom, teaching and learning from tomorrow's leaders.

  • Why Engineering?

I chose engineering for the immense impact engineering has on our society--it truly changes the world.

  • School Days

I went to the University of Washington for my Bachelor's in Civil Engineering. I then went to Purdue University for my Master's in Civil Engineering, Master's in Industrial Engineering, and PhD in Civil Engineering.

  • Best Part

The best part of being an engineer is building the world around us to make real impact and improve critical infrastructure services for communities worldwide.

  • Inspiration

My mom. She is the strongest woman I know. She made sure that I knew that there was nothing a girl could not accomplish.
