Are there any skills that you think are useful that are not usually taught in universities

One of the most important skills is being able to present ideas in a clear, concise manner.  This isn't necessarily covered well in engineering school, but very important.  The other is emotional intelligence - understanding that different people need different ways of working - this is so vital!
