What I Do

I am a professor doing research on the clean energy transition.
Why Engineering?

Engineering makes things happen. I want to make a difference in the world.
School Days

I went to college at Manchester College in N. Manchester, IN for a BA in chemistry and physics and to graduate school at Harvard University with a PhD in Chemical Physics.
My Day At Work

Mainly talking with students, teaching classes, and participating in committee meetings.
Best Part

Helping students grow.
Proud Moments

The solar cells we developed power some of the Mars rovers.
My Family

My husband (who teaches physics courses) and I have a son and daughter.
